| Oakleaf is fast-growing, clump-forming with lobed, toothed, dark green leaves and produces profuse, deep pink flowers. Wherri is a compact, slow-growing, clump-forming perennial with hairy, ovate, maroon-tinted, pale green leaves. Produces white, sometimes pink-tinged flowers. In general, Tiarella is a clump forming perennial, spread by rhizomes or stolons. Small white or pink flowers are born on slender spikes, arising from the rosette of leaves. They require partial to full shade, moist, well drained soil. Very pretty in a shaded corner of a rock garden, and can be used as a groundcover in areas without foot traffic. Various species and cultivars are available. |
