|Dense mat-forming perennial with large, lance-shaped, medium green leaves with fuzzy, grayish-white hairs, to 10 inches long. Erect, short stalks bear spikes of woolly purple flowers, 1/2 inch long. Excellent in a border with roses or perennials. Grown primarily for foliage effect. Leaves become soggy and water-logged in excessive rain.Needs well drained site, prefering area slightly dry. Easy for beginners.
