Fuchsia
( Burning Bush )
| 'Autumnale' is a stiff trailer with arching 2 foot long stems, covered with single, medium flowers with scarlett-red tubes and sepals with purple corollas, appearing first in late summer and continuing to frost. Oval leaves are in groups of 2 or 3, and are 1 inch long. The foliage emerges as green and yellow then matures to dark red and salmon with splashes of yellow. Hence the common name Burning Bush. Frequently visited by hummingbirds. Mulch heavily where winters are cold. Prune back dead or broken branches in spring, especially on plants that were left outside in areas with mild winters. Cooler summer temperatures make Fuchsias a favorite for the Pacific Northwest. |
| Important Info : Does not tolerant drought, high humidity, and high summer heat. |
