| Tricolor is a slow growing variety to 25 to 40 feet, but usually smaller. It has a spreading habit, with elliptic, wavy edged leaves. Tricolor has purple leaves marked with white and pink. Foliage burns in hot sun or dry winds. This tree's bark is smooth and silvery. Can grow in a wide variety of soils, but salty soil stunts growth. This is a choice container plant. It looks very handsome contrasted with copper beech and evergreens. |
