| The cultivar, 'Gracillis' grows slow to 20 feet tall and 4-5 feet wide. Is of slender, somewhat weeping form, soft and dense with nodding top and branch ends with very dark, glossy green foliage. Choice plant that is slow to outgrow its place. Good entryway plant or container subject.
C obtusa is a medium large evergreen, under cultivation it usually does not exceed 40-50 feet tall, but with age will grow hight. Has a spread of 15-30 feet. Has a spreading, irregular, open form with darlk glossy green foliage. Very slow growing and is suited principally to a large oriental gard. Splendid bonsai subject. Prune to shape. |
