|This small, bushy variety forms multiple trunks. Yellow, fuzzy flowers 1 to 2 inches force long pointed caps to fall off when blooming. Seed capsules form very small cylinders. A highly drought resistance type that is well suited for inclined banks and hillsides. The foliage of nearly all species has a strong pungent odor similar to menthol. Well drained soil is preferable. Trees do very well planted from seed. Plant seeds in spring or summer keep shaded and water sparingly until 2 to 3 inches high.
