| This open rosette shaped plant has glabrous, soft green leaves reaching a bronze tint if grown in full sun. The long lasting rosy red bracts have flowers of white, bearing blue berries. This plant should be grown where it can hang, as the nearly 6 foot inflorescence will suspend on a threadlike branch. This plant will thrive in an elevated position. Native to the area near Tovar, Venezula. This is an epiphytic plant whose natural environment is in the cloud forests at elevations of 900 to 4,500 feet. |
