| Z. pulverulenta is a small to medium deciduous to semi-evergren shrub, 3 to 6 feet tall. It has gracefully arching branches and attractive foliage. Leaves are covered with a fine down, green in summer, yellow to pale red in fall. Flowers are anise scented, white, borne in clusters, from the leaf axils, late spring or early summer. Can be easily grown from seed. Requires moist, well drained, acidic soil. Can be obtained from native plant nurseries. Native from N.Carolina to Florida. |
