Cucurbita maxima
( Sibley Squash )
| 'Sibley', also known as 'Pike's Peak' Squash, is an heirloom squash whose brown seeds indicate that it is native to the Americas. The 12 to 15 foot vines produce 1 foot long by 9 inch wide squashes within 120 days. The skin is smooth and blue-green. The flesh is pale orange and moist. An excellent storage squash, as its flesh becomes richer as it ages, becoming its best after January. |
| Important Info : Pumpkins prefer good soil, bright sun, little wind and lots of space. |
