| Very tall tree with weeping branches and light green, 4 to 6 inch leaves. Small, white flowers in clusters and small, round seed capsules are often too high to be noticed. This variety sheds its white bark and along with its other growth that falls to the ground can be quite messy. The foliage of nearly all species has a strong pungent odor similar to menthol. Well drained soil is preferable. Trees do very well planted from seed. Plant seeds in spring or summer keep shaded and water sparingly until 2 to 3 inches high. |
