This loosestrife has alternate, opposite, or whorled, toothed and hairy mid-green leaves 3 inches long with hairy leaf stalks and bears 5-petaled solitary or paired yellow flowers with small, reddish brown centers in star-shapes, slightly pendent. Grows in damp or moist soil that drains well and is humus rich. Sun or part shade suites most of the species. Divide in spring or fall. |
