| Grown for its broad, conical growth habit, outstanding fall foliage, flowers, and red berries. Dark green leaves are simple, sharply toothed and lance-shaped to 4 inches long. Small white flowers are borne in dense corymbs to 5 inches across, followed by persistent, round red berries, 3/8 inch across, that attract birds in winter. Cankers and fire blight may be a problem when tree is under stress. |
