| Variegata has mid-green leaves with white patches. In general, this is a slow growing, evergreen tree that is related to the Thuja genus. It's habit is conical to cylindrical. Bark is shredding, brown to gray. Leaves are scale-like, glossy, dark green on the top, silvery underneath. This tree bears both dark violet male and blue-gray female cones. This tree is native to forests in Japan, and is a good candidate for woodland gardens. |
