| A. buergerinum is a rare maple in North America and Europe. One of the most difficult to propagate, its a spreading, deciduous tree with 3 1/2-inch dark green leaves above and blue-green on the undersides. Blooms in yellow flowers. The cultivar, 'Kifu nishiki' is a small shrub, with small leaves in white or cream, variegated on the lower half of the blade. Imported to the Netherlands courtesy of M.
