| Boxwood commonly sold in California by this name, commonly called the Korean boxwood, does not fit the description of the true species Buxus harlandii. The true Harland boxwood's leaf is acute at the base and emarginate at the tip. The overall form of the Harland boxwood is top heavy, the base being narrower than the top. The true Harland boxwood is less cold hardy than the Korean boxwood (Buxus microphylla koreana). Needs very little pruning. |
