| Deciduous slow-growing, compact globe shaped shrub, at maturity reaching 10 feet high and wide. Berries are single or in three's and brilliant orange to orange-red in color during the winter months (female). May be pollinated with 'Winter' or 'Apollo'. Leaves are glossy green and spiny, from 1-4 inch long. Foliage is also colorful turning yellow-green to purplish-bronze in fall. Excellent hedge, foundation or accent plant. Very similar in appearance to Possumhaw (Ilex decidua). |
