| Acer pectinatum subspecies forrestii, synonymous with Acer forrestii, is a deciduous, spreading tree. Red, arching branches change to green and white striped at maturity with egg-shaped leaves to 5 inches long. Red tinged leaves have 3 to 5 lobes, changing to dark green in the summer months and orange-red in autumn. Brownish-green flowers appear in pendent racemes.
