| Ctenanthe genus is made up of 15 species, all evergreen perennials that spread by rhizomes. They have oval lance-shaped leaves that are sometimes invertly lance-shaped, green and marked with red, cream or lighter green striping. Great as a houseplant or grown in a garden where frost is never a problem. Locate outdoors in part shade in humus rich soil. As a houseplant, repot each spring. |
