| This willowy variety has a straight, reddish brown trunk and a wide crown. Slim 3 to 5 inch leaves of light green grow with whitish flowers and tiny seed capsules. The sent of its foliage when crushed resembles peppermint. Well drained soil is preferable. Over watering of this variety may cause chlorosis. Trees do very well planted from seed. Plant seeds in spring or summer keep shaded and water sparingly until 2 to 3 inches high. |
