| Westhof's Glorie is a narrow, deciduous tree, spreading with maturity. It bears bronze leaves in the spring, darkening later in the season to green, turning yellow in the fall. Prefers deep, moist, loamy soil, and thrives on limestone based soil. Very popular in Europe but has is not as much used in North America, due to the availability of native ash trees. Susceptible to ash borer. The species is native to Europe and Asia Minor. Cultivated for centuries. |
