| Acer mono (synonym Acer cappadocicum variety mono, Acer pictum) is a rounded, deciduous tree with 5 to 7 lobed bright green, almost heart-shaped, leaves that turn yellow in autumn. Yellow flowers on erect umbels appear with the leaves but at times without the leaves. The cultivar, 'Usugumo' is a most unusual plant that it has batwing-like, sharply pointed, leaves with 9 lobes that are speckled with white dots. This is a slow growing cultivar. |
