|Vigorous deciduous tree. Showy flowers, attractive foliage, and spreading growth habit. Dark green leaves are obovate to 8 inches long. Tulip-shaped flowers are fragrant, cup-shaped, generally creamy white, 8 inches across with 9 to 12 petals. Grow magnolias as specimans, or among other trees and shrubs. Number one problem may be that flowers can be burnt back by late winter, early spring frosts.
