| Echo is a biennial, and a short-lived perrenial, depending on climate. Foliage is gray-green, mounding and sends up 18 to 24 inch stems with double tulip-shaped flowers, in rose, white or blue. Requires good garden soil, well drained, occasional fertilizing. Great for containers, border or cutting garden. If deadheaded it will bloom all summer. It is an excellent cut flower, often greenhouse grown commercially. Although this plant is native to the American High Plains, garden cultivars were introduced by Japan. |
