| C. macrocephala is a perennial with a clump-forming habit. The flowers are borne from thistle or artichoke type buds and open brilliant yellow. These plants are attractive to bees and butterflies, and are good cut flowers. Sow seeds late summer or eary fall in milder climates or early spring in colder climates. Plants will do better if lime is added to the soil, especially in acidic areas. |
