| 'Striata' produces deep purpley-red stems and chartruese leaves veined in sunny-yellow. The flowers are brilliant orange. Bold-leaved perennial with flowers summer to frost. Casually shaped five-petal flowers to 5 inches wide held above the foliage on tall stems. Flowers may be red, yellow, orange, pink or salmon. Adds a tropical look to the landscape. Large (to 2 feet) leaves are green, sometimes marked with bronze stripes. Effective in mass plantings, or containers. Very easy to grow. |
