|Tropical-looking dark burgundy foliage contrast nicely with the pure pink, self-cleaning flowers. Blooms summer to frost. Effective in mass plantings, borders, or in large containers. Very easy to grow. Plant in full sun for best color and flowering. Hardy in zone 6b. Clumps grow to 2 1/2 feet tall. Keep soil moist until completely established. Drought tolerant when established. Fertilize in spring just before new growth begins and again in summer as blooming begins. Remove spent flower stalks. Cut foliage to the ground after the first killing frost. In colder areas, may treat as an annual or remove bulbs at end of season and store for the winter, replanting when ground warms in spring.
