| Ophiopogon are a group of evergreen clump forming perennials, grown for their glossy dark green blade-like foliage. Lilac colored flowers bloom on spikes in late summer, followed by bluish black berries. Prefers sun to partial shade, and fertile, well drained soil. Can be propagated by division in spring, or seed in fall. 'Compactus' is a rhizomatous perennial, very tiny and dense, only 2 inches tall. |
