| An excellent market variety of curly leaf parsley. Long stems hold the leaves above the ground for clean harvest. Good deep color and very tasty.
This biennial has a clump-forming growth habit. Leaves are shiny, divided into oval, toothed segments. Parsley has long been hailed for its freshening qualities. Used frequently as a garnish, its flavor also enhances many types of dishes.
Parsley makes a wonderful companion plant with pansies and is best grown fresh each season, prefering cooler weather. Note: if sowing seeds, soak them several hours prior to planting to soften seed coat. Don't be dismayed if seeds take weeks to sprout. An old wives tale says that parsley seeds must travel to the devil and back before they can sprout. |
