Perennial groundcover with glossy, evergreen foliage. Cheerful yellow, five-petaled blossoms, to 1/2 inch wide, are borne in spring. Spreads by rhizomes. Leaves are 3-palmate with shallow lobes and toothed edges, and are medium green. Grows well in difficult shaded spots.
